Our People

The Bonaparte First Nation is a member band of the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council. Shuswap Nation Tribal Council was formed in 1980 as an effort of the Secwépemc Chiefs to advance the issues of aboriginal rights.

Working on matters of common concern, including the development of self-government and the settlement of the aboriginal land title question. Bonaparte First Nation is comprised of 1150 total registered members. The Band is located west of Cache Creek on 1,878 hectares of land.
